The upcoming digital title Gotham Impostors has been set back a couple of weeks. No reason has been provided but it’s only a matter of time before it is released. The game pits two teams of six players against each other in the ultimate evil versus good battle. It will be possible to customize a player character with costume props from the likes of Batman and Joker. The players will then fight in maps inspired by locations from the Batman comics and films. It’s an interesting proposition that should be a hit with anyone that enjoys online multiplayer matches.
No set date has been given but Gotham Impostors will release next month on Xbox arcade, PlayStation Network and PC.
There are plenty of tracks on the We Dance disk but Nordic Games has made it possible for players to download some more from a download service within the game. Obviously each track downloaded will cost Wii Points used to buy content on Nintendo Wii. So here’s some feedback on each of the tracks available in the game. It’s time to find out which ones are essential purchases that will add to the dancing experience.
Not many will turn down the chance when asked Who Wants to be a Millionaire so Deep Silver is adding more question packs to the digital version of the game. The music booster pack will contain six hundred questions and the football booster pack will also contain six hundred questions. Two other packs are already available to download with questions about film trivia and the famous South Park tv show.
It’s not enough for Deep Silver and Atlus to finally bring Catherine over to Europe and around St Valentine’s day no less. Catherine will also be given the special edition treatment with unique items not available in the North American special edition of the game. Those that pre-order the Catherine Stray Sheep special edition will find a Rave-T-Shirt that Vincent wears in the game, two Stray Sheep bar-themed coasters, a Catherine poster that is exclusively available in this edition, all served in a pizza delivery box from the Stray Sheep Bar as packaging. Catherine tells the tale of a man who must make a difficult choice in his love life. Players will need to help Vincent pick important choices found in the game and guide him to the top of the nightmarish stages that he must face each night.
Nordic Games managed to launch three key titles in the We brand throughout the last three months. The three titles in question are We Sing Uk Hits, We Dance and We Sing Rock. Not only that but the We Sing games have also surpassed the one million lifetime sales. It’s not a surprise that the publisher wanted to hold a party to celebrate such news.
There’s no denying that Nordic Games has proven to be a viable publisher within the video-games industry. The publisher somehow still manages to be modest when it comes to reaping the rewards though. It’s not an easy feat to get over one million lifetime sales for the We Sing series but Nik Blower, Sales & Marketing Director at Nordic Games, stated that it was all due to the support from fans and the press. It was during a pre-launch press event that Nik went through some of the upcoming plans for Nordic games including Wii U support.
For a long time other platforms like the PlayStation 3 had Singstar and Lips on Xbox 360. While the Nintendo Wii had some rhythm games it never really had any major singing titles like the other platforms. With Nintendo seemingly uninterested in doing the honours, it was up to Nordic Games to fill the void. It all started when the publisher released We Sing in 2009. Out of nowhere We Sing took the casual market that favoured the Nintendo Wii by surprise and went on to be a major success.
MCM attendees were treated to a Soul Calibur V presentation on the 29th October 2011. On stage Gamespot host Jane talked about the game with Namco Bandai’s very own Lauren Bradders. Namco Bandai Europe’s Joseph Walsh was on hand to show the audience his Soul Calibur V skills.
Ubisoft is well known for developing and publishing games that have a strong art direction. Now it has been ages since Ubisoft released a proper new game in the Rayman series. Rayman is the Ubisoft mascot and he is the figure that many associate with the company. At first the new Rayman Origins was announced as a digital game. But a press released a few months ago stated that it’s been upgraded to a full retail release.
It’s not been long since Nordic Games released We Sing UK Hits and We Dance, but they are back again and this time it’s all about rock anthems. We Sing Rock! tries to cater for all the wild children out there who want to rock out to their favourite rock anthems. But is there a market for a We Sing game with rock hits or is this a collection that shouldn’t have left the idea board. Read the rest of this entry »
