Sonic Colours info speeds by E3

Uncategorized Add comments

It would not be a proper E3 without SEGa showing off a new Sonic game and so it decided to do so with Sonic Colour. This recently announced title focuses on Sonic’s journey to rescue a bunch of magical creatures. As the name suggests these creatures have different colours and powers associated to each one.

From the Wii screenshots the game seems to be using the engine that was created for Sonic Unleashed. It is not a bad idea since that was a very pleasant title after all. Once again the worlds are full of colour and based on real world locations. The game also looks to use some of the magic that made Super Mario Galaxy so unique, with such sights as piles of hamburgers. Other than that it’s bak to business with loops, wall jumps and the likes.

In terms of the DS version it definitely looks like Sonic will go back to the Rush series style. In a few screenshots Sonic can be seen to be running in a similar manner to the Rush games. The same can be said of the bosses who are fought once again in a semi 3D style.

For now here are the screenshots for both Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS versions, along with a trailer.
