Ancient puzzle action Jewel Master: Cradle of Egypt DS release date announced

News Add comments

There is never enough puzzle games and with that in mind Rising Star is publishing another one with an Egyptian theme. A sequel to previous entry in the series, it gives puzzle addicts a new take on the genre, by combining it with ancient Egyptian mythology.

The game focuses on timed challenges to make players quick on their wits, which will be rewarded with longer time bonuses. With time bonuses players can buy new materials, which will be used towards rebuilding the glorious Egyptian civilisation.

The game uses the addictive and often frantic Match-3 engine, coupled with an engaging resource mechanic. Three or more of the same tiles must be linked together to smash the underlying blue marble tiles, all within a time limit; the quicker players are, the bigger the time bonus.

It includes over 100 levels which in players must conquest different boards to progress further in the game. It also spans an impressive 5 different eras meaning that there will be lots locations to explore.
Out on the 18th June 2010 for the Nintendo DS, it is one game that puzzle fans will not want to miss out on.

For now here are some screenshots of the game in anticipation for the launch.
