A demo for the upcoming Sonic and SEGA All Stars racing is now up on xbox live ready to download. The retail version currently has a scheduled release of February 26th for Europe. When it comes out it will have a massive 24 tracks to be played, with the majority being unlocked after earning SEGA miles.
As for the demo it will need about 1.01 gb of free hard drive space in order to download. In a surprising twist it has not only Sonic but Banjo Kazooie as playable characters. The level that can be played is Ocean Ruin which is based on a Sonic Heroes level.

Now here are some tips for getting the most out of the demo:
Pressing “X” while in the character or map select screen will bring up different menus. These include character stats, illustrations of All Star moves and even the distance of a single lap for each map. The information for the maps can even be seen for locked tracks so make the most of it to get familiar with what to expect in the retail version.
While playing it is important to look stylish and no better way to do it than pressing “A”. This will make the horn beep but also show a short animation. A swirling animation can also be seen when turning analogue stick right or left.
The demo also now includes our famous dreamer NiGHTS waving his flag in honour of all forgotten SEGA characters. With the Flagman retired it is up to our dreamer to save the world of racing from never starting.
Also released alongside the demo is the pleasant looking premium theme. The kind people over at SEGA have taken some screenshots of what it looks like which can be seen here.
